Dr. Khan, initially trained as a Computer Systems Engineer, brings a diverse background, having worked for the Ministry of Defence before transitioning to a career in healthcare, studying Medicine at King’s College London. A practicing GP and clinical safety consultant with extensive roles in various healthcare organisations, he currently holds leadership positions at the Royal College of General Practitioners, NHS England, and the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire ICB. Dr. Khan also currently serves as the Chair of the Health Informatics Group at the RCGP, Co-Chair of the Joint GP IT Committee along with the BMA, and Co-Deputy Chair of the Advisory Group for Data at NHS England.
