Anti-Slavery Statement

This policy sets out the steps that Wellola has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to put effective systems in place to safeguard against any form of slavery or human trafficking taking place.

Organisation Structure

Wellola is an independent, owner-operated company which develops software and tools to enable digital patient care.

We supply GPs, hospitals, trusts and other healthcare providers with digital products that are developed inhouse and in cooperation with third-party suppliers.

Wellola is based in Dublin, Ireland and operates additional offices in the UK and Germany.

Supply Chain

Our supply chains include companies who supply raw materials and professional services providers that undertake to support Wellola to supply our customers. Wellola is committed to maintaining and improving systems and processes to avoid complicity in human rights violations related to our own operations and that of our supply chain.

Wellola recognises that slavery and human trafficking can occur in many forms. Therefore, throughout this statement we use the terms “slavery and human trafficking” to encompass various forms of coerced labour. We believe that working in partnership with our clients, community stakeholders and supply chain in a sustainable way enables us to find practical, safer methods of ethical trading free from slavery and human trafficking. We undertake all reasonable and practical steps to ensure that our standards are being implemented throughout the businesses of our suppliers and that relevant legislation and regulations are complied with. We will only trade with those who fully comply with this policy.

We are fully compliant with all relevant employment legislation, including but not limited to The Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act 1996 and The Organisation of Working Time Act 1997.

Relevant Policies

We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:

  • Recruitment – we operate a robust recruitment policy, including conducting eligibility to work in the UK checks for all employees to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.

  • Whistleblowing – our whistleblowing policy ensures that all employees know that they can raise concerns about how colleagues are being treated, or practices within our business or supply chain, without fear of reprisal.

  • Health and Safety – this policy sets out our approach to ensure we provide a healthy working environment for our staff and contractors that work out of our premises.

No underage workers

Child labour is not to be used under any circumstances. All employees must meet the minimum age requirement set out in the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act 1996.
